COLOMBO: Thirteen office trains will operate at the usual time Wednesday (March 15) despite the planned multisectoral token strike.
Accordingly, the relevant trains will operate from Avissawella, Chilaw, Rambukkana, Ganewatte, Mahawa, Kandy, Beliatta, Galle, Aluthgama, and Kalutara-South to Colombo.
Meanwhile, police officers will be deployed to ensure the safety of passengers and the railway employees who report to work, the PMD noted.
The trains operating tomorrow are as follows:
- At 5.00 a.m. – Avissawella to Colombo
- At 5.45 a.m. – Avissawella to Colombo
- At 4.50 a.m. – Chilaw to Colombo
- At 5.50 a.m. – Chilaw to Colombo
- At 5.25 a.m. – Rambukkana to Colombo
- At 5.57 a.m. – Rambukkana to Colombo
- At 3.55 a.m. – Ganewatta to Colombo
- At 4.45 a.m. – Maho to Colombo
- At 5.00 a.m. – Kandy to Colombo
- At 4.15 a.m. – Beliatta to Colombo
- At 5.00 a.m. – Galle to Colombo
- At 6.00 a.m. – Aluthgama to Colombo
- At 7.00 a.m. – Kalutara South to Colombo
