COLOMBO :Twelve protesters including two women were arrested near parliament when the sessions were in progress at the Sri Lankan legislature on Wednesday, April 4
The protestors were carrying out a silent campaign in major parts of the Colombo city for the 23rd day in succession.
Following finance minister Ali Sabry’s statement on the dwindled foreign reserves of the country, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa called for the immediate resignation of the government as well as from President Gotabaya Rajapaksa who were solely responsible for this pathetic state of the country’s economy.
