COLOMBO : Marhoom MH Mohamed’s historical past and a significant contribution to the ward he represented is now emerging through this old paper clipping that has been posted by his dear son and former Private Secretary and Member WPPC Mr Shaul Hameed Mohamed which is relevant in today’s politics to enlighten those who are new to the political firmament to understand the importance yielded by this long standing traditional family who were well known entrepreneurs and participants in the shaping of the political landscape of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 (Ceylon) from the age of 24 and those were the halcyon days of peaceful co-existence and his charismatic demeanor was significant feature testablished a great 👍 respect and appreciation locally and internationally specially in the Middle East. His great grandfather was known as Nuwara Thambi as his business was established in Kandy and moved to Colombo later. I am informed by very reliable sources from the authorities in power that a stamp is to be issued by the State in recognition of his services to the country and people by honoring this political maestro who has left an indelible legacy for the future generations, on his tenth death anniversary on June 15th. 2025. We hope and are confident that President Anura Kumar Dissanayake will certainly take necessary action to personally ensure that the PMG is directed to issue the stamp to mark this occasion by his participation at a ceremony to honor this great personality.
