COLOMBO : Zahira College COLOMBO held its prestigious Colours Awarding Ceremony for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024 on Saturday, the 13th September. at the College Ghafoor Hall.
The ceremony felicitated the outstanding sportsmen who have brought pride and honour to Zahira College through their dedicated and exclusive performances.
A total of 145 Coloursmen were recognized across thirteen sporting disciplines, highlighting the depth and diversity of talents at Zahira College.
At the invitation of the Principal of Zahira College, Trizviiy Marikkar, the event was graced by Matthew Abeysinghe OLY, renowned Sri Lankan swimmer and national icon as the Chief Guest.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Most Outstanding Sportsman of the Year award to Master M.F. Muhammed for his exceptional accomplishments in Swimming. He was recognized for breaking several national records and representing Sri Lanka on multiple occasions during the year, while continuing his education at Zahira College.
The event was organized under the guidance of the Sports Department, led by Zahrul Farook, the former Consultant Prefect of Games on special Assignment, who ensured the ceremony was a resounding success.
Zahira College continues to uphold its proud legacy of sporting excellence, fostering young talent and supporting students in reaching their full potential both on and off the field.
