YWCA Bangkok and ThaiBev contribute Rs 5 million to Cyclone Ditwah Relief Efforts

BANGKOK : YWCA Bangkok and ThaiBev contribute to Cyclone Ditwah Relief Efforts in Sri Lanka
The Royal Thai Government, organizations, and people of Thailand have demonstrated
solidarity with Sri Lanka in the wake of the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah, reflecting
the longstanding friendship and close ties between the two nations.
In this spirit, recently the YWCA Bangkok and Thai Beverage Public Company Limited
contributed generously towards ongoing relief efforts, donating THB 200,000 and USD 10,000
respectively, totaling approximately LKR 5 million.
The donation from YWCA Bangkok was formally handed over to the Ambassador and
Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Thailand, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe,
by President of YWCA of Bangkok, Lantip Dvadasin, at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in
Bangkok. The contribution from Thai Beverage Public Company Limited was presented to the
Ambassador by Advisor to the CEO of Corporate Affairs of ThaiBev, Chamapan Rangratna
at a separate occasion.
The contributions have been channeled towards ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts to
assist affected communities in Sri Lanka. The Embassy deeply appreciates these meaningful
gestures of solidarity and compassion extended by YWCA Bangkok and Thai Beverage Public
Company Limited. The donations reflect the longstanding friendship and goodwill between
the peoples of Sri Lanka and Thailand, as well as a shared commitment to humanitarian values
and community support.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka reiterates its sincere gratitude to the members of YWCA Bangkok,
and Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, for their timely and generous support during this challenging time.
