COLOMBO – An assistant manager of Wayamba University was drowned while swimming in Negombo sea.
A 26-year-old youth named Sasin Taruka, Samarakoon from wewuda , Mediagana, died in the sea.
On Sunday , June 4th, Taruka had came to Negombo Beach with his five friends who worked in various companies.
In no time, all six of them went down to the sea and took a bath. When they came ashore after bathing, they found one of them was missing. Alarmed, they started searching for the drowned person.
In the following morning on the 5th they found the dead body stuck in a rock.
The body was kept in the Negombo hospital mortuary and after investigations were conducted in the presence of Negombo Sudden Death Investigation Officer Dr. Sri Jayantha Wickramaratne, the body was handed over to the next of kin
