YMMA Gampola hands over 500 medical eye drops for free cataract surgeries organized by its Base Hospital

KANDY ; The YMMA Gampola Branch of the All Ceylon YMMA Conference successfully handed over 500 medical eye drops required for 500 free cataract surgeries organized by the Gampola Base Hospital on 28th February at the hospital premises.

The supplies were officially handed over to Dr. Amila Jayasinghe, who is in charge of the Eye Ward at Gampola Base Hospital.

The event was attended by District Secretariat representatives, Divisional Secretariat representatives, members of the College of Ophthalmologists of Sri Lanka, religious leaders, and representatives of various societies.

Gampola YMMA Branch President Ishaq Nihlar, Secretary Shuhail, Treasurer Sameer, and other branch members were also present. Joining via conference were National General Secretary Mr. Ihthishan M. Hussain Deen and Past National President Mr. Shaheed M. Rizvi.

Dr. Amila Jayasinghe expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the generous contribution and conveyed his willingness to extend his support to YMMA in the future during any medical urgencies.

This initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Gampola YMMA Branch towards community service and supporting vital healthcare needs within the community.
