WHO Chief Lands in Sri Lanka for South-East Asia Health Conference

COLOMBO : Director-General of the World Health Organization Dr.Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus arrived in Sri Lanka this Sunday morning. On Oct 12

He is due to attend the 78th South-East Asia Regional International Health Conference as the Chief Guest.

The Director-General of the World Health Organization arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake at 9:40 a.m. onboard Qatar Airways flight QR 660 from Doha.

He was received by the Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Anil Jasinghe.

The conference organized by the World Health Organization is scheduled to take place in Colombo from tomorrow until the 15th of October. News First
