Western Province Governor receives delegation from Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO : The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka (CanCham Sri Lanka) recently met with Hanif Yusoof, Governor of the Western Province, and senior officials to brief them on the Chamber’s ongoing activities and future initiatives.

During the meeting, CanCham Sri Lanka shared its vision for strengthening trade, investment, tourism, and business collaboration between Sri Lanka and Canada. The discussions also focused on creating greater opportunities for businesses and strengthening economic ties between the two countries.

The CanCham delegation expressed its appreciation to Governor Hanif Yusoof for his valuable guidance, encouragement, and continued support. His emphasis on maintaining close engagement with CanCham Sri Lanka was welcomed as an important step towards fostering stronger public-private sector collaboration and contributing to Sri Lanka’s economic growth.

CanCham Sri Lanka said it looks forward to working closely with the Western Province administration to build stronger partnerships and create meaningful opportunities for businesses in both Sri Lanka and Canada.

The meeting was attended by Mohamed Hameez, Co-Founder and Board Member of CanCham Sri Lanka; Priyantha Chandrasekara, Co-Founder and Board Member; Nilupul De Silva, Secretary General; Elanko Ratnasabapathey, Director – Marketing; and Dr. Sanjay Perera, Head of One Global Sector.

“Building Bridges for Economic Partnerships” remains a key focus of CanCham Sri Lanka as it continues to promote stronger commercial and investment relations between Sri Lanka and Canada.
