COLOMBO : Due to the low-level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, the prevailing showery condition over the island is expected to continue during the next few days
Showers or thundershowers will occur at most places of the island after 1.00 pm.
Heavy falls above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers are likely in the Eastern and Northern provinces during the morning too.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Kurunegala district during the early hours of the morning.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
