COLOMBO – The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced a system to supply water according to a schedule for several areas in the Colombo District from today until April 10.
The move aims to minimize inconvenience to consumers amid prevailing dry weather conditions and to avoid prolonged daily water interruptions.
According to the Board, water supply to areas including Battaramulla, Pamankada, Wellawatta, and Nawala will be suspended for three hours daily from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on all days except one.
Meanwhile, Padukka, Homagama, Pelanwatta, and Pannipitiya will experience a 24-hour water cut starting at 8 p.m., followed by three consecutive days of continuous supply.
Accordingly, the scheduled water cuts for these areas will commence tonight.
