MALE ; The Sri Lanka high commissioner in the Maldives M. Rizvi Hassen received a group of nine visiting journalists at his residence in Hulhumale on Friday, January 23.
The envoy hosted a luncheon and interacted with the journalists and discussed matters of mutual interests.
On behalf of the visiting group, Colombo Times Editor Mohammed Rasooldeen thanked the high commissioner for his hospitality shown to the group during their transit on their way home from Makkah.
Rasooldeen pointed out that although it was a holiday, the diplomat was kind enough to entertain the guests at his residence in Hulhumale.
The media tour was organized by the Saudi ambassador in Colombo Khalid Humoud Alkhahtani.
