COLOMBO:The President of All India Ulama and Mashaikh Board (AIUMB), His Holiness As Seyed Al Aalim Muhammad Ashraf Asharafi paid a courtesy call on the former President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa at his residence at Wijerama in the morning on Wednesday May 17,
Seyed Ashraf appreciated the efforts taken by the President in his tenure to maintain co-existence among communities. He stressed that the policy of AIUMB is “Hatred for None, Love for all”. Being the representative figure of the Majority Muslim Population of India, Syed Ashraf stressed on the importance of the revival of Sufism and how important Sufism is to combat Extremism and Terrorism. Mahinda Rajapakse appreciated Syed Ashraf for his untiring effort to bring humanity together as well as thanked him for visiting him.
