Indonesia welcomes for Sri Lankan nationals who would like to visit as tourist or business traveller. They can apply for Indonesian Visit Visa with maximum stay 60 days directly through the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Colombo with the address at: 400/50 Sarana Road (Off Budhaloka Mawatha).
Consular Section of the Embassy opens from Monday to Friday with the following service hours:
- Document Submission (09:00 – 12:00).
- Document Collection (15:00 – 16:00).
Visa application process will take 5 (five) working days.
Sri Lankan citizens who wish to apply for Indonesian visa could make an appointment via the appointment system at https://koalendar.com/e/visa-kbri-colombo.
The applicants who have already made appointment should come to the Indonesian Embassy according to the time allocated. The required documents for visa application as follow:
- Completed Visa Application Form and two passport sized photographs with white background.
- Original and copy passport with at least 6 (six) months validity upon the intended date of arrival in Indonesia.
- Bank Statement.
- Ticket booking.
- Confirmation letter from the hotel.
- Travel Insurance/statement letter will cover health expenses in Indonesia.
- Statement Letter to obey Indonesian health protocols (can be download or obtained at the Embassy).
- For Non-Tourist Visa application need invitation letter from Indonesian family member/company/institution with hotel booking.

Golden Visa for Investment programs.
Indonesian government has launched a Golden Visa program in September of 2023. The Golden Visa offers foreign investors to stay in Indonesia with length of stay of 5 years or 10 years depends on category. This golden visa is aimed to attract more investment in Indonesia. The Requirements and categories for Indonesian Golden Visa are as follows:
- An individual investor who wants to establish a company in Indonesia as follows:
- With a minimum investment of USD 2,500,000or approx. 38 billion for a five-year visa.
- With a minimum investment of USD 5,000,000 or approx. Rp.76 billion for a ten-year visa.
- Directors and commissioners of corporate investors who want to establish a company in Indonesia as follows:
- With an investment of USD 25,000,000or approx. Rp. 380 billion for a five-year visa.
- With an investment of USD 50,000,000 or approx. Rp. 760 billion for a ten-year visa.
- A foreign investor who want to invest in Indonesia in other ways instead of establishing a company:
- Invest a minimum of USD 350,000 or approx. Rp. 5.3 billion in Indonesia either to buy government bonds, public company shares, place deposits in the country, etc., for a five-year visa.
- Invest a minimum of USD 700,000 or approx. Rp. 10.6 billion in Indonesia either to buy government bonds, public company shares, place deposits in the country, etc., for a ten-year visa
