TAIPEI : REOn March 28, 2026, the campus of National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in Hsinchu was transformed into a vibrant cultural space as the Vietnamese Student Association at NTHU (VSA NTHU) successfully organized the Vietnamese Culture Festival 2026 under the theme “Tâm” (Soul). The event marked the first large-scale cultural festival hosted by the association.
The theme “Tâm” served as the conceptual core of the event, symbolizing the depth of the Vietnamese soul, its humanistic spirit, and the enduring cultural values passed down through generations. Through a carefully curated combination of cultural exhibitions, performances, and interactive activities, the festival aimed to build a cultural bridge between Vietnam and the international community in Taiwan.

One of the highlights of the festival was the cultural night, where performances showcased eight defining “colors” of Vietnamese identity: “Pride”, “Diligence”, “Solidarity & Compassion” and “Resilience”, alongside core cultural values such as “Filial Piety”, “Respect for Ancestors”, “Music – Chess – Poetry – Painting” and “Faithfulness & Loyalty”. Each performance was designed not merely as entertainment but as a narrative, telling stories that reflect the moral and cultural fabric of Vietnam. The night also featured special appearances by two guest singers, Maderling Weng and Dao Tu (A1J), adding a lively and engaging atmosphere to the event.

The event attracted more than 600 participants to its experiential booths and over 400 attendees to the cultural night, the festival offered an immersive introduction to Vietnamese traditions, values, and artistic expressions. Notably, nearly 10 Vietnamese student associations from across Taiwan came together, highlighting a strong sense of community and collaboration among Vietnamese youth abroad.
By bringing together students, local residents, and international participants, the Vietnamese Culture Festival 2026 demonstrated how student-led initiatives can contribute meaningfully to cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
The event left not only lasting impressions on attendees but also reaffirmed the role of overseas Vietnamese youth in bringing Vietnamese cultural beauty to international friends. Through “Tâm,” VSA NTHU successfully conveyed that Vietnamese culture is not only preserved in tradition but also continuously reinterpreted and shared in international spaces.
