Viet Nam’s Cuu Long University awards 4 full scholarships to Sri Lankan students

YCOLOMBO : On August 14, at the Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka, Ms. Trinh Thi Tam, Vietnamese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, held a meeting and awarded 4 full scholarships from Cuu Long University to students from the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri LaUISri LankanInka and saw them off to study at the school.

Accordingly, the course content includes 1 year of Vietnamese language and 4 years of university (or 2 years of graduate study) at Cuu Long University. The scholarship includes the following items: 1 year of Vietnamese language tuition exemption; 4 years of university tuition exemption (or 2 years of graduate study); free accommodation in the school dormitory; free use of wifi, electricity and water within the prescribed limit; support for 1 round-trip air ticket (from Sri Lanka to Vietnam and vice versa) for the entire 5-year course.

Cuu Long University also supports the initial cost of the entire course and monthly living expenses equivalent to 3,630,000 VND/international student. It is estimated that each full scholarship is worth about 350 million VND. The total scholarship cost is nearly 1.8 billion VND. According to the plan, 4 Sri Lankan international students will come to Vietnam to study at Cuu Long University on August 18, 2025.

Previously, in early June 2025, Cuu Long University had a document approving the granting of full scholarships to international students from the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to study at Cuu Long University.
