Uva governor represents Sri Lanka at Commonwealth Conference in Rwanda

COLOMBO — The 10th Commonwealth Local Government Conference – 2023 officially started at  capital of Rwanda, under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Rwanda  Ngirente Edouard and the participation of representatives from many countries from 14th  to 17th November.

Governor of Uva Province A.J.M. Muzammil represented Sri Lanka in this year’s conference at the request of the Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawarden under the theme of “Building Resilience in Local Government Institutions”

A Discussions will be held on how local governments face the negative effects of the global economic crisis, climate change and the Covid-19 epidemic, and how to prepare for such situations in the future.

Muzammil will deliver his special speech title on  “Smart and Human City is making through the Public Participation in the City Finance”. at this conference.
