COLOMBO- Despite assurances given by the ministry of energy and the Ceylon Electricity Board, power cuts were reported in some parts of the island.
Several areas experienced disruptions to the electricity supply at the moment, said the Ceylon Electricity Supply (CEB). “ The situation was caused by the non-supply of fuel to power plants,” the CEB said in a statement issued on Thursday, Jan.13.
