COLOMBO ; Effective January 26, all airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older must provide a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within three calendar days (72 hours) of travel. Alternatively, travelers to the U.S. may provide documentation from a licensed health care provider of having recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding travel, according to a press release issued by the US embassy on Tuesday, March,30

· The Sri Lanka Ministry of Health has confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka.· Due to a recent increase in cases, the government of Sri Lanka has enacted preventative measures, including curfews as well as limited travel restrictions. Follow the instructions of local authorities, including those related to physical distancing and face covering. Failure to respect preventative measures could result in involuntary quarantine or criminal charges.
· Health officers of the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) have begun conducting random Rapid Antigen Tests across Colombo city and will continue until further notice. Public Health Inspectors will continue to conduct random tests on those leaving the Western Province and on those living in congested areas and high-rise buildings such as apartment complexes in Colombo.
