COLOMBO — Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System, UCMAS,National Championship 2024 will be celebrating Mental Math Excellence on Saturday August 10 at the Sugathadāsa Indoor Stadium.
The UCMAS National Championship 2024. Is a prestigious competition which promises to showcase the Mental Math Prowess of over 2000 students with more than 5000 audience from all around Sri Lanka, all vying for top honors in this intellectually challenging contest.
UMCAS Chief Executive Officer Vijay Sivashankar addressing at the press conference at the CIPM HR House, Colombo said the UCMAS program, founded in 1993 by Prof. Dr. Dino Wong in Malaysia, has expanded globally over 65+ countries, empowering young minds with the skills of mental math and enhancing overall brain development. The program not only focuses on arithmetic calculations but also sharpens Concentration, Observation, and Memory skills through its structured curriculum.
In Sri Lanka, UCMAS has gained significant popularity and has been instrumental in transforming the way students approach mathematics. The program emphasizes Speed and Accuracy in Mental calculations, laying a strong foundation for Mathematical proficiency and especially cognitive abilities. Under the guidance of dedicated Franchisees and the support of enthusiastic Course Instructors, UCMAS Sri Lanka has grown to become a symbol of Academic Excellence and Mental Agility.
