NEGOMBO : Negombo District Periyamulla Muslim Janaza Welfare Association and Porathotta Muslim Janaza Welfare Association in cooperation with the Negombo District General Hospital has built a roadway to the Negombo mortuary.
The concrete road is being laid over an area of 5500 square feet at a cost of about Rs 5,50,000.
The roadway was built at the request of the hospital management. The construction work was held under the direct supervision of H.W. Zamaan and Retired Principal Mohamed Munawer, who led the respective Muslim groups.
The groups also repaired 10 patient stretcher trolleys that were abandoned in the hospital.
