COLOMBO Two police officers were apprehended in Piliyandala Tuesday night for possession of a bag of heroin.

The arrests were made by a team from the Colombo Crimed Division.

Acting Police Spokesman, DIG Attorney-at-Law Ruwan Gunasekara, confirmed the arrests, identifying the suspects as a police inspector and a police constable.

Both officers were part of the Intelligence Division of the Police Special Task Force, a unit typically tasked with high-level security and intelligence operations.News First
