COLOMBO : Foreign minister Vijitha Herath has picked three Muslims to head Sri Lankan missions abroad.
The appointees included Fazeeha Azmi, a prominent educationist , Retired Justice Laffar Thahir and Fawzer Farook from the Sri Lanka -Palestine Solidarity Movement.
Azmi is ambassador designate to Iran, while Justice Thahir will be Sri Lanka consul general in Jeddah and Farook will be the island’s Representative to the state of Palestine .
