The Sri Lanka Muslim Community Victoria (SMCV) in Australia organizes its Third Six-Over Tape Ball Cricket Tournament 2026

AUSTRALIA — The Sri Lanka Muslim Community Victoria (SMCV) in Australia successfully organized its Six-Over Tape Ball Cricket Tournament 2026 at Galvin Park Reserve, Werribee on Sunday March 29 marking the third consecutive year of bringing the community together through cricket. The event was filled with great sportsmanship, energy, and unity.

A total of ten teams participated in the tournament: Dehiwala Boys, Dream Stars, Kabalis, Master Blasters, Melbourne Huntz, Melbourne Strikers, Northern Warriors, Periyamulla Warriors, Soaring Sixers, and ZUL Warriors.

Melbourne Strikers team emerged as champions, with team captain Inazir Wazeer received the championship shield and award. The runners-up were the Soaring Sixers team, led by captain Rila Rizvi.

Man of the Match: Inazir Wazeer (Melbourne Strikers), Highest Run Scorer: Lareef Kaleel (Northern Warriors) and Highest Wicket Taker: Faizal Roohul (Soaring Sixers) received awards from the organisers.

The organizers congratulated all participating teams and players for making the tournament an exciting and memorable event.
