The Sri Lanka–Kuwait Joint Relief Forum hosts a welcome reception to new ambassador of Kuwait

COLOMBO : The Sri Lanka–Kuwait Joint Relief Forum hosted a special reception to welcome His Excellency Ambassador Saleh Mubarak Abdul Rahman Al-Sar’awi, the newly appointed Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of charitable associations and institutions, community leaders, and distinguished guests.
Also present at the occasion were Abdullah Al-Muhanna, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Kuwait, and Mr. Firdous Mohammed, Translator and Liaison Officer with charitable organizations.
In his address, representatives of the Sri Lanka–Kuwait Joint Relief Forum extended a warm welcome to His Excellency Ambassador Al-Sar’awi and expressed their sincere wishes for a successful diplomatic mission in Sri Lanka. The Forum highlighted the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Sri Lanka and the State of Kuwait, particularly in the fields of humanitarian service, charitable activities, and community development.
The speakers also conveyed deep appreciation to the leadership, government, and people of Kuwait for their continuous humanitarian assistance and generous support extended to communities in Sri Lanka over the years. They noted that Kuwait’s charitable and relief efforts have significantly contributed to improving the lives of many people in need.
The event further recognized the valuable contributions made by charitable associations and institutions in strengthening humanitarian cooperation and promoting solidarity and goodwill among peoples.Addressing the gathering, participants emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral relations and fostering greater collaboration between Sri Lanka and Kuwait in various sectors.

The forum comprises of Islamic Relief Committee, ‏‏Associations Muslim Youth of Sailan , Al-Hima Islamic Service , Muslim Aid Sri Lanka, Muslim Federataion Cultural Development, Makola orphanage , Mercy Lanka and All Ceylon Jammiyahul Ansari Sunnatjul Mohammedia.

The reception concluded with prayers for continued friendship, peace, prosperity, and successful cooperation between the two nations.
