COLOMBO : The Government of Sri Lanka has received a financial donation of USD 100,000 from the Philippines to support reconstruction and recovery efforts following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah.
The donation was officially handed over by H.E. Nina P. Cainglet, Ambassador of the Philippines to Sri Lanka.
Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath , expressed his sincere appreciation to the Government and people of the Philippines for their solidarity and timely support during this difficult period. He noted that such assistance reflects the strong ties between the two countries.
The funds are expected to assist in rebuilding affected areas and supporting impacted communities.
