COLOMBO — The Marhaba 2025 Pre-Ramadan Fair, organized by the Past Pupils’ Association (PPA) of Muslim Ladies’ College, Colombo 04, was held on Saturday February 8 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC). For the second consecutive year, this much-anticipated event brought together businesses, entrepreneurs, and the community, all contributing to a meaningful cause—the MLC New Building Complex Project.
The fair was graced by Mrs. Shero Meezan, a distinguished alumna and luxury event planner, as the Chief Guest, alongside Guests of Honor Mrs. Fathima Aziz and Mohamed Zamroon Thowfeek, who reinforced the significance of community-driven initiatives. The event’s success was made possible through the generous support of sponsors, including Edinborough, Big Hill Lanka, American Premium Water, Bairaha, Faisal Fabrics, and Arwa Shawls, among others.
Special recognition goes to Madam Principal Mrs. Nasriya Munas, Principal of Muslim Ladies’ College, Colombo-04, and Mrs. Ferouza Muzammil, Vice President of the PPA, for their leadership and unwavering support. The presence of Vice Principal Mrs. Rasmiya Aboobucker, Deputy Principal Azmie Kariapper, further strengthened the event’s impact.
Ms. Hasnaa Hanaas, Chairperson of the Marhaba 2025 Organizing Committee, led the event’s execution with dedication and vision, alongside the PPA Executive Committee, Action Committee, volunteers, and well-wishers. Their meticulous planning and coordination ensured a seamless event, overcoming challenges efficiently. The School Development Committee (SDC) and its members also contributed significantly, reinforcing the school’s commitment to progress.
More than just a fundraiser, Marhaba 2025 showcased the power of unity, local business growth, and giving back to Muslim Ladies’ College. This successful initiative continues to pave the way for a brighter future for the school and its community.
