The Kirulapone Jummah Mosque launches its official App, Website

COLOMBO — The Kirulapone Jummah Mosque launched its official App and Website  on Friday July 11.

The services offered by the Digital Portal and the Apps include: Information of the Services offered by the Masjid, Access to the Sermons of the mosque online, News and Events, Prayer time, Notices and Special Announcements, History and details of the Masjid, Downloadable forms for the various services such as Nikah, Janaza, Application for Scholarship, Application for enrolment to both the Boys and Girls madrasa etc.

President of the Board of Trustees of Kirulapone Jummah Mosque Al-Haj Ruzni Nawas launched the app and website after Jumma Sermon.

The Kirulapone Jummah Mosque traces its origins to the late 1940s, when many Muslim families began settling in the Kirulapone area following the inauguration of the Colombo Municipal Council Housing Scheme.

Over the years, the mosque has undergone several expansions and now spans three stories, accommodating about 3,000 worshippers.

Today Kirullapone Jumma Mosque (KJM) is  extending its services to its congregation by going digital.  KJM has carried out an initial soft launch of the Masjids Web Portal and Apps for both the IOS Apple and Android Smartphones. The website can be accessed by typing the URL : www.kjmasjid.com and the Apps can be downloaded both from the Apple store and Google Play by typing Kirullapone Jumma Masjid.

Both the App and the Web Portal are linked via WebX Pay a Payment Portal offering its services in Sri Lanka. This feature allows the Members to make their payments of contribution and donations online. The Masjid Also has got special permission from the Central Bank Authorities to offer payment by Card for the various services.

Vice Presidents of the Mosque  Al-Haj M. M. M. Imtiyas and Al-Haj Afzal Hussain,
Secretary Al-Haj Sabri Yoonus, Assistant Secretary Eng. M. M. Umarlebbe, Treasurer  Al-Haj Zaheer Marzook, Vice Treasurer Al-Haj Shibly and Members were also present.
