HEMMATHAGAMA : The Institute of Digital Media & Journalism (IDMJ) organized a Media Workshop on Photography and Storytelling at KG/MW Al-Azhar College, Hemmathagama on Thursday September 10 with the aim of developing students’ knowledge and practical skills in photography, storytelling and media communication.
The programme was held under the leadership and guidance of the Principal of KG/MW Al-Azhar College,M.F.M.Nawas with the collaboration of the college’s Al-Azhar Media Unit.

MA HRDserved as the resource person for the workshop and conducted training sessions focusing on photography, storytelling, creativity and effective media communication.
Umair Nawshad, Executive Director of IDMJ, and Zamil Shafeek, Administrative Director of IDMJ, also participated in the programme and conducted training sessions for the students, sharing their practical experience and knowledge in journalism, photography and digital media.
The workshop provided students with an opportunity to gain practical insights into the role of photography and storytelling in modern journalism and digital media. Participants were encouraged to develop their creativity and use visual media as an effective tool for communication.
Certificates of Participation were presented to the participants in recognition of their active participation and commitment to learning in the fields of photography and storytelling.
The programme was organized as part of IDMJ’s continuing efforts to promote practical media education and develop the next generation of young media enthusiasts and digital storytellers.
