COLOMBO — The Cultural Counsellor Iran of the Embassy of Iran , Ali Kebriaei Zadeh paid a courtesy call on the Director of the Department Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs M.S.M. Nawas at his office on Monday January 25th.
The Cultural Counsellor Ali Kebriael Zadeh said the Iran Cultural Center is almost 40 years old in Sri Lanka and has good relations between the two countries. Also he said the Cultural Center was ready to help Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Department for islamic religious activities.
The Director Nawas thanked the Cultural Counsellor of Iran for the visit to the Department and he briefed about activities in the Department. He said all the Mosques, Arabic Colleges, registered under the Muslim Department on the Hajj and Umrah services and Quran Competition, calligraphy competition and sending students for Quran competition to Iran, Saudi Arabia and other countries through the Muslim Department as well.
Director Nawas presented publications about Wakf Law to Iran Cultural Counsellor Ali Kebriaei Zadeh. Iran Cultural Center Ali Reza Shahini, Department Deputy Director N. Nilufer, Assisant Director A.A. Ahamed and Reigous Development Officer Ash Sheikh Mufthi Murzi were also present.
