COLOMBO: Sri Lanka won by 4 wickets (with 2 balls to spare) against India in the second T20 match held on Wednesday, July 28.
The series now stands level at one win each.
Dhananjaya Desilva ensured Sri Lanka is on the winning side with an unbeaten 40 runs (34 balls). Minod Bhanuka and Wanindu Hasaranga contributed with 36 (31 balls) and 15 (11 balls) runs respectively. Kuldeep Yadav gave away 30 runs and got two wickets.
India batting first struggled to reach 132 runs for five wickets within the allotted 20 overs. Shikar Dhawan the captain topped in scoring with 40 runs off 42 balls. Devdutt Padikkal contributed 29 runs (23 balls).Akila Dhananjaya was the best bowler for the day with two wickets giving away 29 runs.
Dhananjaya Desilva was the man of the match for his all-round match winning performance.
The third and final T20 match will be held on 29th July 2021.
