COLOMBO ; Sub-Inspector from Weeragula Police Station was found dead this Sunday afternoon on Aug,10 from a gunshot wound.
His body was discovered within the police station premises.
The officer served as the Community Police Officer-in-Charge at Weeragula.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances to determine if the death was a suicide.
The 56-year-old officer was a resident of Urapola in Gampaha.
