Students’ bags to be checked for drugs being smuggled into schools

COLOMBO :Minister of Education, Susil Premajayantha said here on Wednesday, September 7,  that a procedure will be prepared to check the bags of students of urban and leading schools in the country.

It is reported that school children are being used to send drugs into the schools.

Further, the minister also mentioned that the necessary instructions regarding the checking of school bags of students will be issued through a circular next week.Pix Getty images
