COLOMBO : The state ceremony of the international “Walk for Peace Program in Sri Lanka” is scheduled to be held Tuesday (April 28) at 4:00 p.m. at Independence Square under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The international peace walk, organized with the participation of Vietnamese monk Venerable Pannakara Thero and a group of Buddhist monks, commenced on April 21 from Dambulla Royal Cave Temple.
During the ceremony, President Dissanayake is expected to offer sacred relics and a sapling of the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi to Venerable Pannakara Thero as part of the event.
