COLOMBO : SriLankan Airlines has appointed Fawzan Fareid as their new country Manager to Bangladesh effective from September.
Fawzan a senior employee of the Airline carries over 25 years of experience. He had previously served as airline’s Area Manager in Riyadh , Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Country Manager Qatar , Country Manager Japan and South Korea , Country Manager the Maldives before being posted to Dhaka.
On Thursday, Oct.5, Fawzan paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh High Commissioner Tareq Mohd.Ariful Islam before his departure to Dhaka.
A fruitful discussion was held between the High Commissioner Islam and Fawzan pertaining to the tourism development plan and how Sri Lanka could improve Bangladesh tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka.
Incidentally Bangladesh is the 16th largest country to generate tourists to Sri Lanka and her plan is to drive Bangladesh among top 10 countries.
