Sri Lanka’s National Representative and International Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Committee Officer Meet in New Delhi

New Delhi – Ms. Ajra Azhar, Attorney-at-Law, Director of Colombo Associates, and National Representative of Sri Lanka at the International Bar Association (IBA), met with Arush Khanna, Membership Officer of the Young Lawyers Committee (YLC) of the IBA in New Delhi .

 Khanna, who is also a Lawyer and a Co-Founding Partner of , a multi-disciplinary law firm with its offices at Mumbai & New Delhi, hosted the event.

The discussions centered on the upcoming IBA Conference, Mexico and also explored potential synergies in the legal services sector between India and Sri Lanka. 

Ms. Ajra and Khanna deliberated on shared legal challenges and opportunities for mutual growth, emphasizing the importance of cross-border legal practices and the exchange of legal expertise between the countries.

Ms. Ajra highlighted the significance of the International Bar Association in fostering international legal dialogue and cooperation. She expressed optimism about the potential for joint initiatives that could benefit the legal communities of both nations. 

Khanna reiterated the importance of continuous engagement and collaboration between young lawyers from India and Sri Lanka.

The meeting marked a pivotal step towards strengthening professional ties between the legal fraternities of India and Sri Lanka, with both parties committed to advancing justice and legal excellence through collaborative efforts.
