Sri Lankans are sick of statements, they need ACTION, ACTION AND NOTHING BUT REMEDIAL ACTION!!

COLOMBO : Sri Lanka’s new prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has announced that he would make another special statement to the parliament when it meets again on June 7.

Last week, the nation listened to his address in which he narrated tales on the economic crisis of the country. He requested people to be prepared for a worse situation in the days to come.
Earlier, the president made two such speeches to the nation where he said the occasions where he failed and was feeling sorry about them.

The people in Sri Lanka, once a paradise isle, are suffering from a shortage of fuel and gas, soaring cost of living, high transport charges and at every turn, they pay treble the amount of what they paid last month.
New ministers are busy with their new offices and state ministers are to be appointed and new secretaries have taken offices and they have their tamashas in their own world.

Legislators who met during the past two weeks hardly spoke about the sufferings of the people. There is a section of the politicos from time to time that diverts the attention of the people towards far-fetched tales.
Protesters at the Galle Face Green are completing more than 50 days on the road for the sake of the people in the country.

Whoever is responsible for this pathetic situation is answerable to the innocent Sri Lankans who were living peacefully without know what was going to happen.

Its not the time to point finger at someone, the so-called politicians who have become saviors of the nation, should come out with concrete proposals to resolve these issues and ease the problems immediately since people cannot take them up anymore.

People are sick of statements, the need of the hour is to help them ease their day-to-day problems and they expect remedial measures to have their daily meals at home at least with Pol Sambol and rice.
“Make us worthy, Lord, to serve those throughout the world who live and die in poverty or hunger. Give them, through our hands, this day their daily bread; and by our understanding love, give peace and joy. Amen.”
