COLOMBO : Social Activist and Director of Muslim Charity Serendib Sri Lanka, Mohamed Mujahith Nizar, has been officially selected for an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman to participate in the international program “Message of Peace for Young Leaders,” which begins in Muscat on Sunday, Nov.9
The initiative is organized by the Ministry of Endowments & Religious Affairs, Oman, under the Oman’s Message of Peace & United Human Values project, in recognition of the International Day for Tolerance 2025. The event which will be attended by 20 youths from various countries will be held through Nov.17
Mujahith is a social activist and mediator who has been actively involved in community development, youth empowerment, and interfaith initiatives in Sri Lanka. Under his leadership, Muslim Charity Serendib Sri Lanka has implemented numerous humanitarian projects, including educational support, healthcare initiatives, and social welfare programs for marginalized communities.
The “Message of Peace for Young Leaders” program brings together emerging leaders from across the globe to foster dialogue, understanding, and cooperation between cultures and religions. During his official visit, Mr. Mujahith will participate in workshops, panel discussions, and collaborative projects aimed at promoting peace, coexistence, tolerance, and shared human values.
Representing Sri Lanka, he is expected to share insights from his work in community development and youth leadership. He also plans to bring back knowledge and experiences that will help strengthen local peace-building efforts, interfaith dialogue, and youth engagement programs in Sri Lanka.
Expressing his gratitude,. Mujahith stated, “This opportunity is an honor and a responsibility. Insha Allah, it will inspire not only me but also the youth and communities I serve, contributing positively to building a more tolerant and peaceful society.”
