OUAGADOUGOU : Sri Lankan wins ‘Best baker of the year’ title for the best wedding cake made in Burkina Faso at an event held in the capital city. At a competition organized for the married couples of 2022 held in the West African state of Burkina Faso, where several categories of winners were chosen, such as best wedding dress, make up artist, hair designer, florist, wedding planner, best decoration, best hall, photographer, best wedding cake etc a Sri Lankan baker won the title, ‘the best baker of the year 2022’ for her majestic wedding cake.
Madhuri Dhanapala won this prestigious title at a glamourous event held Ouagadougou in December 2023 and it was live telecasted by the national TV channel Radiodiffusion Télévision du Burkina which is headquartered in the capital city Ouagadougou.
Madhuri Dhanapala runs her own cakery at Burkina Faso and is popularly known as ‘Ammi’s Fabulous Cakes’. Madhuri created an elegant 5-tiered wedding cake adorned in gold shade to create a cake fit for royalty and importantly all tiers were edible.
