
DUBAI: The ICC T20I rankings were announced today with changes in certain categories especially due to performances in the ICCT20I world cup.
Wanindu Hasaranga who excelled with the bat and ball in recent times is the No.1 ranked T20I Bowler in the world. A proud moment for Sri Lanka cricket, to see Hasaranga reaching the top in such a short time with his dedication and discipline. Wanindu Hasaranga also has the highest wickets (14) in the ICC T20I world cup currently underway in the UAE. Wanindu’s hat-trick against South Africa has allowed him to gain 776 rating points to surpass South African Tabraiz Shamsi who has rating points of 770.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam’s three half centuries in 4 innings has put him right on top surpassing England’s David Malwan to No.1 position in T20I Batting rankings. He is also No.01 ranked in the ICC ODI batting ranking.
Afghanistan captain Mohamed Nabi and Bangladesh Shakib Al Hasan share the top slot in the T20I All-rounder rankings with 271 points. JJ Smit of Namibia is at 3rd rank with 175 points while Sri Lanka’s pride Wanindu Hasaranga who wishes to identify himself as an allrounder stands at 4th place in the ranking with 172 points.
England still is on top of the T20I Team ranking list with 279 points and is closely followed by Pakistan with 265 points. (RZ)
