COLOMBO – The Colombo Grand Mosque has announced that the crescent for the month of Dul Hajj was sighted on Wednesday evening on May 28 and the Muslims in Sri Lanka will celebrate the festival of Eid ul Azha (Hajj Festival) on Saturday 7th
The decision was taken at a meeting attended by President of the All Ceylon Jammiyyathul Ulema (the Supreme Council of Muslim Theologians of Sri Lanka) Ash Sheik M. I. M. Rizvi Mufthi Colombo Grand Mosque President Thahir Razeen and Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Officer M. Nilufa Asst Director were present at this conference
