Sri Lankan Hajj pilgrim dies of heart attack in Makkah

COLOMBO: A Sri Lankan Hajj pilgrim died of heart attack in Makkah on Thursday night July 7, the department of Muslim,Relgious and Cultural Affairs told Colombo Times on Saturday,July 9

The deceased Mohamed Hamza Ahmed Maslool, holder of Sri  Lankan passport No: N9593442, who was from Galle, was admitted to the Hospital in Mina on the previous day due to sufferings from heart ailments. He has gone to Makkah for Hajj pilgrimage with Safra Hajj Travel group which has been merged with Kaakiya Hajj Travel group.

The Janaza took place on Saturday,July 9 in Mina with the participation of officials of the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Jeddah, Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs  and representatives of Hajj  travel group.
