Sri Lankan Buddhist and Hindu priests attend Religious Conference in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH:  Two religious dignitaries are currently attending the ” “Forum on Common Values Among Religious Followers”, organized by Makkah-based Muslim World League in Riyadh on Wednesday, May 11.

The event was inaugurated by The SecretaryGeneral of the Muslim World League,Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa 

The religious scholars from Sri Lanka include Most Ven.Banagala Upatissa Thero, Chief Sangha Nayaka of Japan and President of Mahabodi Society and Hindu Priest Ramachandra Iyer.

Sri Lankan representatives met Sheikh Mishal,Director, International Parliamentary Affairs &Events of the Muslim World League (Rabithah Al Alam Al Islami – رابطة العالم الإسلامي ).

Sri Lankan ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Packeer Mohammed Amza was present during the discussions held in Riyadh.
