COLOMBO : Sri Lanka is ready to further strengthen its long-standing economic, cultural, and historical relations with Thailand by expanding cooperation in trade, tourism, technology, and sustainable development, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath said.
Addressing the 25th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka–Thailand Business Council in Colombo, the Minister praised the Council’s contribution to enhancing bilateral economic ties over the past 25 years.
He noted that growing trade volumes between the two countries reflect the success of their partnership and highlighted the potential for greater collaboration in trade, tourism, transport, logistics, technology, and sustainable development. The Minister also emphasized that the strong friendship between Sri Lanka and Thailand continues to be strengthened through expanding economic cooperation and people-to-people connections.
