RIYADH : The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Riyadh announced here on Sunday,May 24 that the Government of Sri Lanka has introduced a Free Tourist Visa (Electronic Travel Authorization – ETA) facility to the nationals of Saudi Arabia.
Accordingly, all nationals of Saudi Arabia are entitled to apply for 30-Day Free Tourist Visa (ETA) for short-term travel to Sri Lanka for tourism purposes.
All Saudi nationals visiting Sri Lanka for tourism purposes have been advised to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) free of charge prior to arrival in Sri Lanka, through the following official website with effect from 25 May 2026.https://eta.gov.lk
Commenting on this goodwill gesture by the Government of Sri Lanka, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Saudi Arabia, Ameer Ajwad stated that the introduction of the free ETA facility would further encourage Saudi tourists to visit Sri Lanka, one of their preferred tourism destinations, by making travel more convenient and accessible and contribute to sustaining the growing momentum of tourist arrivals from Saudi Arabia to Sri Lanka.
