Sri Lanka-NORDIC Business Council (SLNDBC) holds its Members Day at the Colombo Port City

COLOMBO — The Sri Lanka-NORDIC Business Council (SLNDBC) held its Members Day at the Port City Gallery on Thursday May 22.

The President of the Sri Lanka-NORDIC Business Council Shameel Mohideen who delivered the welcome address , said The Sri Lanka-NORDIC Business Council (SLNDBC) operating under the aegis of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. “Our core objective remains steadfast: to strengthen economic ties between Sri Lanka and NORDIC.”

Also he said : ” Expanding trade relations, particularly by increasing Sri Lankan  exports to NORDIC, Promote tourism, positioning Sri Lanka as a preferred destination for Nordic travelers, and Facilitating strategic joint ventures and investments, creating opportunities for businesses.”

Meanwhile panel discussion on “Nordic Insights: Accelerating Sri Lanka’s Digital Economy ”  Exploring Innovation, Investment and International Collaboration was also held. This session was moderated by  Sanjaya Ariyawansa, Chief Economic Policy Advisor at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.  

Renuka Weerakoon – Director General, Board of Investment,  Indumini Kodikara – Director Export Services, Export Development Board (EDB) and  Sampath Jayasundara – Director Operations, SLASSCOM briefed the audience on the available opportunities.

Officials from all diplomatic missions,  stakeholders, sponsors and  Sri Lanka-NORDIC Business Council members were present.
