COLOMBO: Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said here that he is yet to receive the Letter of Resignation from President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
President Rajapaksa had earlier said that he would send his Letter of Resignation during that course of the day, on Wednesday (13), the Speaker said in a televised address.
Based on the pledge made by Rajapaksa, Sri Lanka is making arrangements to elect a new president when parliament meets on July 20
