Sri Lanka Humanity Movement starts off under patronage of Media Minister

COLOMBO: The Sri Lanka Humanity Movement was launched under the patronage of Media Minister Dulles Alahaperuma on Saturday Jan 29 at the Lotus Hall of the BMICH.

The lighting of the oil lamp was done by the media minister, Ambassador of Palestine Dr. Zuhair Hamdallah Zaid, Deputy Chief of Mission at Pakistan High Commission Tanveer Ahamed, Dr,Malik Makki First Secretary Saudi embassy, Second Secretary at the Maldivian High Commission, Maryam Saaniga Rasheedh Palestine embassy deputy chief of mission Hisham Abu Taha and Mohammed Esam from Libyan embassy.

Sri Lanka Humanity Movement’s President Dr, Chandima Wijegunawardena told newsmen that the purpose of the mission is to enlighten the people of Sri Lanka on the current economic crisis and people’s issues and how best people could emancipate themselves from the crisis based on national and international experiences.

The program started with a discussion with panelists: Dr. Sainaulabdeen Najimudeen, Dr. Isuru  Bandara, Eng. Anuradha Tennakon, Dr Chamal Sanjeewa and Dr Chandima Wijegunawardne.

The 90-minute .session was moderated by Chamuditha Samarawickrama and the event was open to the general public who were interested in the topic of discussion.
