COLOMBO – An official from the Sri Lanka Customs said that 206 Live star tortoises were being smuggled out of Sri Lanka to Kuala Lumpur.
The star tortoises were seized by Sri Lanka Custom’s Biodiversity, Cultural and National Heritage Protection Division on Saturday(11) at the BIA based on information.
The tortoises were placed inside six boxes itemized as “Dried Sea Foods” after being placed inside cloth sacks.
