COLOMBO — The Sri Lanka Air Force had organized Ranaviru Anusmarana Islamic Religious Ceremony at the Kollupitiya Jumma Mosque on Monday July 22.
It was held under the patronage of Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa.
Wing Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force T.M. Sham delivered the welcome address.
All Ceylon Jamiyathul Ulama General Secretary Ash Sheikh Arkam Nooramith and Ash Sheikh S.M. Sajidh Humaidi addressed the gathering in English and Sinhala languages.
President of the Board of Trustees A.R.M. Haroon Haji presented a memento to the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshall Udeni Rajapaksa on behalf of the Mosque and also Commander of the Air Force presented a memento to the Trustees of the Mosque.
Imam of the Mosque Moulavi Hafil M.B.M. Rizwan conducted special prayers to the War Heroes.
Member of the Board of Trustee Yassar Azeez proposed the vote of thanks.
Vice President Z.A.M. Zakwan Haji, former Vice President of the Mosque Muslim Salahudeen and Members of the Board of Trustees of the Mosque were also present.
